The Paleo Pumpkin Smoothie is the perfect autumn smoothie. Sweet, spicy and yummy it makes feel like Christmas. And the healthy carbohydrates from pumpkin and banana provide a perfect energy source for athletes.

2 bananas
400 ml coconut milk
2 tablespoons cinnamon
2 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tablespoon honey (optional)
1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
Kitchen Accessories
Food processor

In a large pot heat 2-3 liters of water. Peel the pumpkin, remove the seeds into quarters, and cut into small pieces. Pour into the boiling water and simmer for about 10-12 minutes. (the pumpkin must be able to sever with a spoon).
Drain the pumpkin pieces and add to the food processor or the blender. Banana, add coconut milk and spices and puree until until a drinkable liquid. If you like the pumpkin smoothie colder, should still add a few ice cubes and crush them with.
Season the pumpkin smoothie to taste with a little lemon juice and serve in Honing and 2-3 large glasses.

Our tip
Instead of coconut milk and almond milk does - then the smoothie is not as "heavy"
THE paleo pumpkin smoothie TASTES hot and cold
Those who prefer to have a warm or hot drink in the dark winter months, which can leave the ice or the pumpkin smoothie even times heating (alternative: Heat the coconut milk previously and purée with the hot pumpkin). All tastes delicious and is somewhat reminiscent of a sweet pumpkin soup. Also recommended as a dessert.
