Paleo Apple Pie

Paleo or not - on the birthday cake has a on the table, otherwise it is not a real birthday. Luckily, there are ways and means, a birthday apple pie also completely "clean" hinzubekommen. What often happens to us in our baking recipes: they are slightly dry, because coconut flour draws much liquid. But that does not apply to this apple pie, which occupied very little flour.

Paleo apple pie
For 1 piece // active: 15 minutes // Total: 40 minutes


2 red apples
3 eggs
50 g ground almonds
50 g coconut flour
1 teaspoon cream of tartar baking powder
3 tablespoons honey
2 tsp cinnamon
80 ml coconut milk
1 tablespoon ghee
2 tablespoons coconut blossom sugar


Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
Cake springform pan with ghee or butter grease. Our form has a diameter of about 18 cm.
Cut apples into thin slices. Pour into the cake tin.
Ground almonds, coconut flour, eggs, coconut milk, cinnamon, baking soda and honey mix. The mixture is quite thin, do not let that put you off.
Spread the dough over the apple slices.
For 15 minutes put in the oven. Then sprinkle the coconut blossom sugar over it and give for another 10 minutes in the oven.

Our tip

Our small springform pan has a diameter of 18 cm - the cake was for 2 people. If you use a larger springform pan you have to adjust the amount of information!
